Double boilers have been replaced—heat exchangers provide the same tasty benefits but at a much lower price. Using the quality construction of many other heat-exchanging machines, the Oscar comes in at several hundred dollars less than the competition without sacrificing quality. The full-color ABS bodywork is scratch-resistant. Simple Interface Two buttons and a steam knob—that's it. You won't need to spend time trying to figure out what each feature does, just pull this guy out of the box, dial in your grinder and make espresso on to go. Professional Portafilter This machine uses a high-quality and durable 58mm portafilter. Plus, the large water tank's 21⁄4 L reservoir means you won't have to fill up after every couple shots (we do recommend keeping that tank clean, though). A direct water connection option is also available. Great Steam Pressure The steam wand is both capable of good microfoam as well as very quick temperature increases, blasting milk to latte temperature in seconds. This machine also utilizes a more durable copper boiler for a more consistent temperature that should last longer with proper care and maintenance (descaling).
